Fifth Grade – Fall

5th Grade Activities (5GA) are run by and for 5th graders and their parents.  In the Fall, 5th graders run several community services that  support our Hastings Community and serve as fundraisers for social events for all 5th graders.

In addition to all of the above, in September the school runs an overnight trip!

To make 5th Grade Activities successful, we need parent coordinators and volunteers for all events; 5th graders also volunteer for the community service fundraisers. If you are worried that you don’t have experience in any given coordinator or volunteer role – don’t! Coordinator instructions have been developed over the years for all roles and will be given to all coordinators. There are still openings for parent coordinators, please scroll down to the sign-up sections to look for specific activities.

The Halloween Party is our biggest event in terms of both effort and fun. We ask every 5th grade parent and child to join the team and share the workload by volunteering for the Halloween party as well as one other event over the course of the year. Volunteering allows each and every student and parent to be a contributing part of 5th grade activities.

About a month out from each 5GA event, Sign Up Genius will be opened. So please, come back to this site often and use one of the links below to volunteer for specific activities and events.
