The PTO treasurer is responsible for the following:

  • Maintain a full account of receipts and expenditures
  • Make disbursements as authorized by the president or executive committee, or in accordance with the budget
  • Oversee the established bank account
  • Present financial statements 2-3 times per year and for the annual tax filing
  • Keep all records of national and state portions of the membership dues
  • File form PC with the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office
  • Provide data for annual audit
